Highlands Inn Internship
From December 2020 to May 2021, I was the Communication and Social Media intern at the Highlands Inn in Highlands, North Carolina. As the Inn ended their 140th year being open, bringing the technology up to date and getting a social media presence was on the to-do list.
During my five months at the Inn, I worked alongside the manager and owner to enhance the communication between employees to employees, employees to guests, and guests to reviews.
I created a Photographic Consent and Release form for the Inn. This consent form allowed us (the employees) to post to the Facebook and Instagram pages.
I was able to create an account for the Inn on Indeed.com, that allowed me to publish an application to job-seekers. The application was also used for the Job Fair in Kelsey-Hutchinson's Park in April 2021.
This was the first Instagram story the Inn posted!
I took this picture to update the Facebook page with exciting news. After the COVID-19 regulations were lifted in the ending of March 2021 for hotels, I was able to book bridal brunches for wedding parties and provided tours of the Inn.
I took the photo to enhance the Booking.com profile.
By creating loving memories for the guests, I was to make some amazing connections! For Mother's Day, I set the Gazebo suite with fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and a personalized card for the mother complimentary.
